We have been working hard to bring back Mat Pilates to our OM-azing commUNITY. Pilates is pronounced pil-AH-tees, it is a method of exercise designed to both physically and mentally condition students by using set patterns of movements in limited repetitions. Unlike workouts that stress exercising to exhaustion, Pilates focuses on executing movements with good technique to retrain the mind and muscles. It’s ruling principles are concentration, control, grace, precision and breath.
Pilates is one of the safest and most effective exercise programs available today. The main focus is on developing core abdominal and back strength which is designed to help achieve optimal strength, flexibility, endurance, balance and perfect posture. In this practice we will use of certain props like bands, magic circle, blocks and possibly straps to help rehydrate the muscles before and after so we can help aid the body in restoring itself. Appropriate for all levels. Join us every Wednesday, 4-5pm & every Saturday, 11:30am-12:30pm. We offer new Students 3 Classes for $30 and other class passes with no expiration date and unlimited monthly passes.
