It’s getting hot out there. Are you drinking enough water? Because you lose fluids all day long. We lose fluids in a number of ways; urination, through breathing and perspiration. Sweating, especially in warm weather can be a sticky situation and most people try to avoid it, but honestly, don’t avoid it…sweating is normal.
When it comes to hygiene, there is a difference between deodorants and antiperspirants. A difference that many people don’t pay attention to. Antiperspirants are just that… chemicals that do not let the body perspire. Aluminum and Zirconium are compounds in antiperspirants that plug the sweat glands and do not allow perspiration to occur. Research is emerging that shows these compounds could be very dangerous to the cells in the armpit and may cause damage or even mutation to these cells, increasing the risk of cancer, specifically breast cancer.
Deodorants are just that… de-odorants. They cover up or neutralize odors but still allow the body to perspire like it should. Many people don’t know the difference but you should know what you are putting on your body. Opt for deodorants before antiperspirants to keep your body working well.
Remember to drink plenty of water and do sweat it out.
